Sunscreen New Formulas from Tested Brands

uvrays.jpgDo you know that sunscreen comes in two varieties when it come to the protection they offer your skin? I didn’t, and as it turns out there are products that protect you from UVA or Ultraviolet Alpha rays (which was previously the most widely accepted type of the sun’s rays known more commonly as Ultraviolet light). Most people like me don’t know that there is also a need for protection from UVB or Ultraviolet Beta rays which can also cause skin damage and in severe cases even cause skin cancer. So when choosing which type to purchase at the drug store or the supermarket, skin care experts recommend getting ones that are labeled to give broad spectrum protection so all the bases are covered.

Gifts From Nature : Skin Care products that really work

nature.jpg
Weve all heard of the natural healing of plants and other naturally occurring minerals and elements. Coconut oil has long been used as a moisturizer by many a seafaring cultures and it is also good insect bite treatment. Many such extracts have been discovered and integrated in the many skin care products we use today. People have begun to realize the importance of using natural stuff where else from nature. That is why habitat protection of our remaining rainforests is vital for all plants have stuff in them that can help us in one way of the other. Burn them, destroy them and we loose the ability to discover otherwise life-saving derivatives that really work.

Skin Around The Eyes

1.jpgThe skin below our eyes is extremely thin. It is seven times extra fragile than the skin on our face. It does not make oil, so it is prone to creases. Other than the zone in our face that we frequently fail to notice but we in reality have to pay attention of, it would be the covering around our eyes. While using an eye cream, simply stroke it onto skin, not at all rub. Make sure to use your ring finger, because it is the most gentlest of your five digits. When rubbing the cream, it will just pull at your skin and promotes the pattern of wrinkles. At present, there are countless eye creams presented in the market. Dermatologist proposes having one for daytime with SPF and a strong one for nighttime. Aside from these products, there are also creams designed for dark circles, puffiness and dull eyes.

Causes for Premature Wrinkles

The major cause for creases or wrinkles is of course age. As we mature, the transformation in our skin will sooner or later head to wrinkles and fine lines. On the other hand, some individuals get a hold of wrinkles in advance than others.  Here are some reasons for having a wrinkled skin: 1)Smoking. When you smoke, the quantity of blood, oxygen and nutrient flowing to your skin is condensed. This changes the skin’s normal capability to mend harm.  2)The sun. The sun’s UV rays certainly damages the skin. Other than wrinkles, it can also cause sun spots. 3)Heredity. The age that we get our earliest wrinkles is also a result of inherited aspects. 4)Facial movements. Early wrinkles may be sourced by repeated and rhythmic facial movements. Endless frowning will trigger furrows above the eyebrows. 5)Stress. Stress may have a damaging distress on the skin, predominantly if it is escorted by lots of facial actions.

Drug-Resistant Staphylococcus Infections

drugresiststaphDoctors are finding a very alarming trend that has been going on for quite sometime, injuries to the skin that get infected are now found to be healing not only longer but worse, are becoming host to once rare forms of staph infections. Called MSRA, these forms of infections used to be common in athletes or with the condition known as athlete’s foot, with bacteria commonly found in the infected skin and within in-grown toe nails. Today however, they are being found more and more commonly in regular scrapes and wounds that used to be easy to treat with common antibiotics so people with wounds that take longer to heal than normal should get them checked so they are eliminated and a new regimen of antibiotics could be prescribed. The Healing Capabilities of Touch …. Really !

healingtouchIt seems that the healing touch is more than an old wives tale and scientists have the proof that touch has it’s own set of receptors that is directly linked to the brain. This might explain why babies calm down at the touch of their mother/father or pain seems to go away when you get stroked by a loved one. Scientists have found touch receptors that are different from the ones we normally use for the sense of touch. The findings warranted more research into the amazing ability of the human body to take a sense such as touch, coupled with some other physiological abilities to heal itself on it’s own without intervention. Stress Exaggerates Skin Diseases

stressStress has been shown to cause many a health issues that may lessen the quality of life. A link that establishes stress as a major cause of skin irritation though still under debate shows the great power the brain has over the parts of the human body. This overreaction results in rashes or itchy sores, that if compounded by skin diseases like psoriasis and dermatitis makes it worse. The direct link of the human brain to the skin is a very important one for the skin is the first defense of our body against invading germs and bacteria. This reaction by the human immune system though natural and automatic has the ability to react wrongly to stress leading to skin disorders without any underlying cause. Further study hopes to determine why the immune system attacks itself due to a mental condition and the mechanism that causes the system to go haywire.

We people nowadays are wiser about seeing straight through a bad pick-up line. But when it comes to beauty, there are still some falsehoods that we take seriously. When after all, it was just a big joke. So don’t be stupid and get ready to wise up. This is one of the skin care myth that we are use to:

The myth: Using more of a product will make it take effect faster. The truth is that using handfuls of product would not do your any favors. Slathering more of a product to your body doesn’t result in more immediate result. Applying to much may cause skin irritations or allergic reaction, since some beauty products contain active ingredients like vitamin C, retinol, and benzoyl peroxide. Watch out if you’re using something that contains these. By just, applying a thin layer of it is enough to cover the area you’re treating. If you’re using a retinol cream. For example, a pea-sized dab will do the trick.
