Stressed Out…. Itchy….. You Will Be!
Stress and the effects it has on the human physiology has long been linked yet the mechanisms of that link are still being understood to this day. Stress can induce itching according to researchers who have found that of almost each and every patient who seeks medical attention due to a sudden outbreak of the itch have been found to have recently undergone some stressful event in the past few days and weeks. The effects of stress are quite profound, irritability and other psychological effects are amplified by many other physiological manifestations of everyday life. People react differently to stress, others able to handle it better than most, optimistic people fare better than depressed ones who can become quite debilitated by too much stress simply seizing up unable to function normally as they should.
There are established ways of determining the extent of stress's effects on the human body yet with so much of it going around and with so much diverse reactions, it still remains to be fully understood .
Itchy skin is just one of the manifestations of stress as it turns out and with us getting our daily dose of stress that tends to accumulate over time, it can be a beast in hiding. Women also deal better with stress, able to express emotions and releasing pent up stress with crying that gets them fast on the way to recovery. Men on the other hand tend ot express it less thus risk more in terms of effects and is blamed directly for most of the diseases they suffer from, and indirectly for more diseases.
